This valve features a main spool insert and a pilot control valve with an adjustable pressure element, allowing for precise control of hydraulic fluid flow. In its rest position, this valve allows unrestricted flow from channel B to A, with the pressure in channel A balancing against a spring-loaded mechanism to maintain the desired output pressure. The DRC5-5X/315YSO173 operates on the principle that once the pressure in channel A exceeds the spring setting, it causes movement in the control spool towards a closed position, achieving equilibrium at the set reduced pressure. The pilot oil return is externally directed into the tank via a control line, ensuring smooth operation.
This model includes an optional check valve for free return flow from channel A to B when subplate mounted and offers various adjustment types like rotary knobs and sleeves with protective caps for easy handling. It also features a pressure gauge connection for monitoring reduced pressure in channel A.
