Precautions for use
Dry test prohibited: Whether it is an old or new oil pump, dry test is not allowed. Because the old oil pump has residual gasoline in the pump housing, dry test may cause sparks to ignite the gasoline and cause explosion; because the motor of the new oil pump is sealed in the pump housing, the heat generated by the power on during the dry test cannot be dissipated, which may cause the motor to overheat and burn out.
Check the wiring and insulation resistance: Before use, check whether each terminal is firm, and the grounding wire must be reliable and firm. Use a 500-volt megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between all live parts and metal parts that may be touched. The resistance value must not be less than 7 megohms at the working temperature.
Protect the motor: Avoid water and oil from entering the motor, switch and electrical parts, and do not work in an environment containing flammable and corrosive gases.
Regular inspection: When the brush is worn to the point of being unusable, it should be replaced in time. It is recommended to inspect it at least every three months, and inspect it once a month if it is frequently used. When inspecting, the pump body should be disassembled to remove the dust and oil inside.
Abnormal situation handling: If abnormal noise is found during use, the machine should be stopped and checked immediately, and the problem can be solved before continuing to use it. By following these precautions, the normal operation of the Bosch electric fuel pump can be ensured and the service life can be extended.
